The future kindergarteners of Westerville City Schools are invited to explore what awaits them when they begin classes in the fall.

A new traveling physical education unit has been rolling through several elementaries across the District this year.

More than 200 drawings, paintings, sculptures, and other works created by students across Westerville City Schools will be on display at the Westerville Community Center as part of the annual art show sponsored by the District and the Arts Council of Westerville.

Westerville Parent Council and Roush Honda of Westerville have announced the recipients of the 2025-26 Great Educator Mentor (GEM) Award, which is presented to individuals who go the extra mile to make a positive impact in the classroom and schools.

Westerville North High School science teacher Virginia Tompkins has been named High School Teacher of the Year, Genoa Middle School social studies teacher Leslie Thompson received the Middle School Teacher of the Year and Alcott Elementary fourth grade teacher Laura Kerns earned the Elementary Teacher of the Year honor by the Westerville VFW Post 7883.
 

More than 120 Westerville elementary and middle school students built their own Lego designs as part of Westerville City Schools’ 20th Annual LEGO Competition on Feb. 28 at Westerville North High School.
